Blasting, priming, painting and wood work - OH MY! - 4/7/14

Dad's been picking away at a couple of wood projects on the #62.
These are the back pieces that keep things from flying out the back of the motorcar.

As usual - Dad has done a great job - including cutting some notches to allow water to escape.

After the control panel was removed Dad touched up the original cross pieces with orange

Remember that control panel? Here it is - all nice and ready to go!

One of the two original spacers under the windshield is badly deteriorated - Dad has sandblasted it and thinks that it can be salvaged with some accomplished welding. He also sandblasted the control levers and associated parts

Here are the two front windshield supports primed

This is the other windshield spacer that is fine as is - and Dad has primed it

This is the crank side lifting handle box construction - as you can see the top piece doesn't quite allow the crank to go through without hitting - this is next on the agenda then it'll be priming, painting and installation.

Thanks Dad!

More to come!
